Why the name DICOMP Designs?
After graduating from college (many years ago), a friend of mine and I had an idea for a Digital Compass (back in the days before they were a standard feature on most luxury cars). I formed a company to capitalize on this groundbreaking invention. (If you haven't figured it out for yourself yet:  DI is for Digital, COMP is for compass). At left is the furthest we got with it, the prototype stage. I kept the company name as I ventured further away from electronic and computer projects to my pursue my lifelong fascination with the versatility and durability of leather and wood.
